This is a three-part question so please be sure to answer all parts. First, who is your favorite character in The Outsiders? Second, why is he (or she) your favorite character? Third, we are going to watch the movie version of The Outsiders on Friday night...Will you be joining us?
When it comes to potato chips, I love salt and vinegar flavor, my daughter likes the spicy jalapeno ones, my son goes for sour cream and onion, and my husband prefers plain. What's your go to chip?
Yesterday we were off because it was Memorial Day. It is a day we put aside to remember and honor military personnel who died while serving in any branch of the United States Armed Forces. Is there any family member or family friend who you remembered yesterday? If not, write a line or two of thanks to these service men and women for the sacrifice they made so that we can enjoy our freedom.
It's a three day weekend! On a scale of 1-10, how happy are you? I'm at about a 12.5!
(Homo=same Phone=sound) Homophones are words that sound the same but have different spellings and meanings. The earlier you are today, the easier this task will be because your job is to list a pair of homophones WITHOUT REPEATING what another classmate wrote. I'll start with KNOT and NOT.
Choose any four syllable word you can think of and write it here. Make sure you separate the syllables the way I did in the title.
My son and I were having a discussion about how we are both afraid of clowns. (I'm not really sure how it came up in conversation...) So what's your take? Are you afraid of them or not? Just for the record, my son and I are both terrified of these horrendous creatures!
Offer an inspiring quote to help your classmates (and yourself) get through this week. I saw a great one the other day, "Don't count the days. Make the days count." Even though I always tell you what day we are up to, I really liked that one.
Nope, it's NOT chocolate chip "cookie" day...Just Chocolate Chip Day. So...name something other than cookies that you can use chocolate chips for. And, if you have some at home and are feeling adventurous, why don't you try making something with chocolate chips!
