If you haven't already watched my morning video, go check it out...It's National Chicken Dance Day! (Why this dance requires a National holiday, I'll never know.) Sometimes it's fun to be goofy. What is the last time you did something immature, silly, and/or goofy just for the sake of having fun? Btw...Mine was just a few minutes ago when I filmed my video!

As a vegan, I get asked that qustion all the time! Today is the Eighth Annual International Hummus Day! I happen to LOVE hummus, but there are many people who don't . What is a food that you really like but that other people think it is weird or gross? (And tell those people to mind their business anyway!)
A limerick is a humorous verse of three long and two short lines with a rhyming scheme of aabba. It was popularized by Edward Lear many, many years ago. Here are the first four lines of a limerick. Your post today is to make up a final line to the following limerick. Remember the rhyme scheme has to be aabba!
There was once a class from sweet Queens Whose students were all in their teens Teacher earmuff? She'd buy it 'Cause the kids were never quiet (what's your ending line?) My plans wound up changing. Instead of sending my mom a gift card, my kids, my husband and I drove to my parents and brought over a ton of groceries (since my parents can't go out shopping) and we gave my mom a beautiful candle holder. So, what did you wind up doing yesterday? Did you follow through with the plans that you wrote about on Friday?
Mother's Day is going to be tricky this year since many of us can't go out to go shopping for Mom. Let's share an idea or two here of something we can do for Mom to celebrate her (or any other special someone like Grandma!) this Sunday. I'm going to to send my mom an Amazon e-gift card because she LOVES to read on her Kindle and that is what she has been doing so much of since she can't go out much these days. She will be able to download a bunch of new books to read.
Throughout history, there have been few national days of prayer. In fact, there were only a few noteworthy ones between the 1700s – 1900s. The National Day of Prayer that we know today was founded in 1952, and it was co-founded effort between the United States Congress and President Harry S. Truman. The holiday was signed into law by President Truman, and every president since has signed a proclamation that encourages Americans to pray on and celebrate this day. The national holiday has always been the first Thursday of May every year since it was founded in 1952. It stands as a day that continues the decision-making of the country’s founding fathers, which used the morals from biblical lessons in difficult situations. Basically, using God’s guidance to make important decisions in the country and for yourself. Just like Thanksgiving and Christmas, the National Day of Prayer has become recognized by Americans nation-wide, and it is even recognized and celebrated in all Hallmark calendars. Type the following sentence by filling in the blanks...TODAY I WILL PRAY FOR ___ BECAUSE ___.
Today is National Nurses Day! Their jobs have been extremely difficult these last few months. Would you ever consider working in the medical field? Why or why not?

Cinco de Mayo (the fifth of May) is also called the Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla. It is a holiday celebrated in parts of Mexico and the United States in honor of a military victory in 1862 over the French forces of Napoleon III. Here in the United States, it is often a fun day to celebrate. I have to work tonight so my family and I won't eat dinner together. Instead, we celebrated last night and had tons of Mexican food! Have you ever celebrated this holiday? If not, would you like to?
