Throughout history, people have been mistreated simply because of their race, their religion, their gender, or in some cases even their looks. As a class, we have studied it in our social studies classes over and over again. In Of Mice and Men, we see it happen as well given that the story takes place back in the 1930s. Think carefully before you answer this question and consider all of the things that you have learned before you offer your opinion. Throughout history, which group do you think was treated more unfairly/unjustly...women or minorities? Explain your answer. (This should be more than a two or three sentence answer. Be thorough. Again...You might not be "in" school, but this is still school!)

There is one group in mind that I think got more mistreated. This group of people were women. I think this for couple of reasons. One reason is because they didn't have no right to vote or do really anything. Lastly, women never really had jobs so they just stayed home while the men were out working.

Discrimination and unfairness has affected many people through history. I think that the most affected group were women. They did as much work as men and they still got mistreated. They didn't have any rights in our society until the nineteenth ammendment passed. They didn't have any of the big jobs ( doctors or lawyers).

Both women and minorities have been treated like garbage since the beginning. I think both women and minorities have both been treated unfairly. Women were not able to vote ,was not treated equally as men, and faced financial discrimination.Women stayed home and men when to work and made money. I also feel like minorities where mistreated because they were different and they didn’t fit in. Minorities where sent to crazy asylums.Ik conclusion I think both where mistreated in their own was.

Throughout history both women and minorities were treated unfairly. In my opinion I believe that women were treated more unfairly than minorities. Women were looked down on, and men saw them as "simple housewives." They weren't treated seriously especially when one woman had a good idea or opinion, men saw it as some joke. When women wanted to be seen as strong and independent, men would still look down on them like they are helpless. They were put down in many ways including political votes, not having equal rights, and more. Most women stayed at home working in their house while men were working actual jobs making money. Even when women had the right to get an actual job they were given pay checks that had a lesser amount of men's pay checks. The rights of women still have gotten better, but to this day some people see them as helpless women.

Throughout history discrimination has affected many people. Women and minorities were both treated unfairly. I think that women were treated worse than minorities. men thought that their only purpose was to cook, clean, and take care of children. while men went out and did the "real" work. Even if women were allowed to get real jobs, they would receive smaller paychecks. Before the Nineteenth Amendment women had no right to vote. They were treated unfairly for decades.

Both minorities and women were treated unfairly back in the days. In my opinion, I think minorities were treated more unfairly, but that doesn't mean women didn't face discrimination and unfair treatment. Even though women were still treated unfairly, they were slowly gaining their rights to vote during the 1920s-1960's. People of color (minorities) constantly faced racism, and were called racist slurs.

Women and minorities faced many problems. I think they are both equal in mistreatment. Women were expected to clean and take care of the kids, and basically have no life. Minorities were treated cruelly and called numerous names, and their color and skin was used against them.

Throughout global history both women and minorities were oppressed. I think that minorities were treated much more unjustly than women were. In the USA, African Americans were forced into slavery until 1865, and even after it was abolished they still had the face segregation and unfair treatment because of their race. In Germany, Jewish people were killed and sent into concentration camps because of their religious beliefs, and they still face discrimination today just because of their religion. So although women were treated poorly and as housewives, minorities were sometimes killed and forced into slavery because of things they couldn't control like their religion and race.

I think that women got mistreated the most. They usually had no say in anything and would just be told to stay home and work there. People never really listened to them because they thought that they were weak and would make things worse. I think that they were mistreated the worst because they usually just worked at home and no one really trusted them. Over the years, people have started to listen to them but that took a lot of time for them to realize that they had a voice too.

Women and minorities both faced unfair treatment. Even though women couldn’t vote or had to do housework, I think the cons of being a minority outweighed the cons of being a woman. Minorities had to deal with racist comments which broke down their self esteem. They had to deal with social discrimination, unemployment/slavery, less power over their lives, no education, and so much more. Unlike women, minorities could even get killed because they were a certain race. Race wasn’t the only thing they were treated unjustly for. Minorities’ religion had a big part of this too. If one were Jewish, Muslim, or any other specific religion they received mistreatment, they were wrongfully accused, killed, and much more. Minorities didn’t and don’t only feel physical strain, but also emotionally. Even though most of this happened in the past, it still takes place today.

Unjust treatment of women and minorities was really bad in the past.I think minorities got the most unfair treatment. In America minorities faced more problems such as hard to find work, slavery, worst education and even without slavery back then minorities as African Americans such as Claudette Colvin had a hard time using the bus. while mostly white women can at least get out of the house without having a problem.

This one group got mistreated a lot ! This group of people is women . Women couldn’t do a lot of this that men could do which is unfair. Women fought for their lives so they could be treated equally. They couldn’t vote, or have jobs that certain men could have . Which in my opinion isn’t fair .

Throughout the history of the United States, many groups of people have suffered. I think that both minorities and women faced discrimination, under different but also similar circumstances. Minorities had to go through racial slurs and insults. They were at the very bottom of society. People believed that they weren't capable of anything. It's very similar to women's case. They couldn't vote, or get a higher education. Women were only allowed to cook, clean, and tend to the children.

Over the years, power grew and respect decreased. Discrimination against races and genders were immense during this period. In, Of Mice and Men, many workers were discriminated being pointed out as working class. They weren't as respected as people who weren't in there class. Crook, however was also discriminated and put in solitude by being shunned by the other workers. He wasn't treated equally as the other workers.

For people to mistreat others is not fair. I also think that there was one group that really got mistreated and shouldn’t have. I think the women really got mistreated. I think this because women will look at someone to clean the house, watch the children, cook food, and do laundry. Women never really had a say in political items however men had a voice.

Both minorities and women were treated unfairly. In my opinion, minorities were treated worse. I say this because one minority, for example, African Americans were kidnapped from their countries and homes and forced to to our bidding, then after they were “set free” they still had to face discrimination from the people who had no brain. Jewish people also faced discrimination and still do today. Hitler rallied many Jewish men and women and killed them just because he felt like it. The minorities face these problems and possibly will always face these problems because the world doesn’t know how to change.

Women and minorities has always been treated insensitively. I believe that both are equally aren't respected present time. Women were lower due to their gender. They looked upon as a useless group and believed that they do not have any high potential. As well as minorities. This group was discriminated due to their race, religion, culture, political beliefs, etc. People acted horribly towards them just because how different they are compared to themselves.

I feel both minorities and women were both mistreated. However i feel minorities has it worse. Even though women couldn't vote, get jobs and had to stay home all day, minorities were treated worse, most minorities lived in places nobody wanted to live in. For example in the story "Off Mice And Men" Crooks lived next to a barn that smelled everyday. Other than that it was very hard for them to get jobs, lastly they delt with racial slurs everyday.

Women and minorities suffered many difficulties. Overall, I think they are both alike in mistreatment. Women were required to clean and take responsibility for the kids and have no life. Minorities were handled cruelly, called various names, their appearances and skin were used against them.

Women and minorities have been treated poorly for a long period of time. I feel like that women have suffered more and were treated worse than minorities. Women were the ones who were forced to stay home and do everything. Some men were abusive to their wives. Men, in the 1800s, thought that women were weak and treated them as if they were slaves.

I think minorities and women were both mistreated. I think that women were mistreated worst than minorities. Men usually looked at women as people who should do all the housework. While they do all the “ real work ” which I think wasn’t fair and disrespectful towards the women. I think women’s rights have gotten better, but still can easily improve more.

For who I think got mistreated the most I'd have to say minorities. Since most minorities where hated upon judged by their race. But for women, they had more rights than minorities since, they didn't have to work for long days with no pay, no one judges them on their skin color. Though they could be abused by their husband they could leave them.

Minorities and women were treated very poorly. I think were treated the worst. The reason why I say that because people felt that women couldn’t do anything but work in the house. Women are way better than just doing house work, they can do all things. In,“Mice of Men”, Curly’s wife was expected to sit in the house all day and she was getting upset because she was lonely and all she wanted to do was have an acting career.
