In Social Studies class, we have been learning about the CIVIL SERVICE. People who are civil servants are people who are employed in the public sector by a government deprtment or agency. They are hired on professional MERIT and are not appointed or elected to their position. Your homework the other night was to ask your parents if they, or any other close family members, hold or have ever held a civil service job. If so, what is/was the job? Explain. Look up the different types of civil service jobs that we have here in New York City. Are there any jobs that you think you might be interested in in the future? Why or why not?

I do not believe any of my family members have any type or form of civil servic jobs. There are many different types of civil service jobs here in New York. The job I might possibly want for my civil service job is to be a intellectual analyst. It sounds pretty fun and I get to think of creative solutions to different problems I encounter.

There are many jobs out there, including civil service jobs. My dad has a job that's a civil service job. He's a police officer. There a are maybe one or two jobs that I'm interested in. One major one is a judge. I really am not too sure what draws me in, but I find hearing about new cases interesting.

Most jobs in our local Government are part of the Civil Service system. A Civil Service employee can be anyone from a supervisor of a department to a nurse. Some jobs have strict requirements to get considered for it, such as NYPD, a clerk manager, a teacher, a pharmacist, and more. Unfortunately no one in my family has ever worked for or is currently working in a civil service job. However, in the future if I have to find a job I would want to work as an AP Physics tutor. It’s a good way to help students who are struggling in physics and it’s also a good part time job.

None of my parents or my family work for the civil service, possibly years ago I did have one. Jobs in the civil service look very fun to be in but I would guess very smart people have to be there, and I would possibly want to work for the government (as a body guard or a helper)

Yesterday I asked my parents a important question. The question was if we knew any family or friends that had a civil services job. My mom told me one of my cousins is the captain of a police department. A captain of the police department is someone who’s in charge of his department and lead his department. There are a few different civil jobs in New York, for example we have are Postal Office mail handlers and fire departments. One civil service job I might want to work in the future is finance because I would want to work in the banking area.

I asked my parents if they ever did any civil service and they both said no. When I grow up I want to be a lawyer or an FBI agent part of the the BAU. I want to be a lawyer because I love it and because I love defending people from their rights and wrong and I love debating. Me wanting to be an FBI agent has everything to do with me after watching 8 season of criminal minds and I just went I want to be part of that.Since being a cop is part of civil services I might consider being one but I don't think I never will but I'll consider it.

Civil service jobs are very important. Unfortunately none of my parents have a civil service job. Unlike my parents I believe that I can take one of these jobs in the future. One civil service job I may want to take on in the future could be a librarian. This is because I enjoy quiet environments and reading. Another job I am putting into consideration is a therapist. This is because I enjoy helping others.

People who work in civil service work work under the state, local, and federal government that provides a service to this country. For example, a postal worker or a police officer. I asked my parents if we have anyone in the family who work in civil service and I do have a cousin who is a cop.One job I might be interested in the future in civil service is in health care because it is important work.

None of my family have, nor have had civil service jobs. However having one would be great. It's nice to know that people pick you to take care of them and their city/neighborhood. It gives you a strong sense of responsibility and gallantry(aaaaaah).

I asked my parents if they worked a civil service job and none of them did. There is a a civil service job that I want to work as and that is a sanitation worker. I want to work as a sanitation worker because I want to help take other people trash away so it doesn't just end up in the street.

Civil Service is people who work under the government. Only one person in my family has this type of job, like my mom. She works in a post office. When I grow up one job that I might be interested in might be in the heath care department. I would like to have a job in that field because I want to help and care for others.

Civil service jobs are very important to society. When a lot of jobs were instituted during the Gilded Age, the amount of corruption was lowered. It looks like none of my family members have ever had any civil service jobs. After researching on many civil service jobs, I don't think I want to be part of any of them besides retail for part time in a few years. Those jobs are a little boring and I want to see myself working at a job I like.

My grandpa and uncle both worked in the U.S. armed forces. I also have a cousin who was learning to be a social worker. I searched some of the civil service jobs, and I'm not really attracted to any of them. I don't think it's any reason in particular other than none of those jobs seem like something I want to do.

Civil service jobs are jobs that people have given to them by the government. None of my family members have civil service jobs. However, in the future, I might want one. It seems like it would take a lot of responsibility, but I think I would do well.

I have asked my parents if they ever had a civil service job. When I asked them this they replied with a no. If I had to choose a civil service job I would choose Information technology specialist. That is because I want to help protect peoples government information and help services in which places they need cyber security. If I do this job correctly it will help make the internet a safer place to store information.

Having a civil job is an amazing thing to do, merely because you are serving your country or state on a merit and that it amazing. I asked my family if any of my family members who were or are employed in the public sector and sadly, they said no. I never thought that there was such a thing as a Civil Service job so I thought that was quite nice. I didn't really like any jobs that I found because I would rather work in an agency or something like that. I dont really want the government controlling the things I do, but if I didnt a choice, I would do it.

There are many jobs people can have, one being a civil service job. I asked both my parents if they ever had or currently have a civil service job, and both replied with no. And I'm not aware of any of my family members having a civil service job either. But in the future, I'm really sure what job I would take up. After researching a bit on civil service jobs, nothing has really attracted me and seem a bit boring.

From what I understand, nobody in my family has a civil service job, but there is one job that I am interested in, and that's a Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. Fraud is something that occurs almost daily, and happens the most in the Banking and Finance Industry. Working in fraud is my passion, and for that reason, that is why I would pick the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit over anything else.

Civil Service jobs are jobs in any department run by the government that hires people based on merit. These jobs include teachers, officers, nurses, and civil executives. I asked my parents the other day if any of them worked a civil service job, but neither of them knew what it was. We then looked at examples of one and found out that a registered nurse is considered a civil service job, and so, we concluded that my mom works in one since she is a nurse herself. Because my mom is in the health department, both of my parents want me to follow in her footsteps as either a nurse or a doctor. However, if I definitely have to work in a civil service job based on healthcare, I would go for something different, like a psychologist or a therapist. A lot of people are struggling so much with their mental health, and I feel bad for them. This has driven me to wanting to become a therapist or a psychologist to hopefully do something about it. However, it's not set in stone, so I might have to wait and see before I can decide on that.

Civil service jobs are really helpful to our community. I've asked all of my family members and none of them have had a civil service job. There are maybe one or two jobs that I'm interested in. One major job that I am interested in is a judge. I am not quite sure what draws me to it, but I find hearing about cases and helping the innocent get justice interesting.

Both my parents have civil service jobs. My mom works for the NYC DOE or the New York City Department of Education. She is a high school Global and U.S History teacher. My dad works for NYC DOT or the New York City Department of Transportation. His job is to repair highways, potholes, and streets in Manhattan. I think if I were to have a civil service job, I would be an ACS worker. This is because I would want to ensure the safety to the many children in unfortunate home situations. The system often fails these children and I would hope to provide them some hope.
